Forms.jpg (106065 bytes) The first stage began with cross-section forms were attached to the flat floor section. The stem and transom are also set in place.

The marine-plywood forms are left in place to form permanent bulkheads. However, the extension pieces on the first and second molds are only temporary.

Transom.jpg (98931 bytes) Here Dave B. is adding some touches to the substantial, solid fir transom.
Planks.jpg (113988 bytes) With the cross-section molds, transom and stem in place. The marine-grade meranti plywood is bent around the forms.
SheerPlanks.jpg (141585 bytes) With the sheer planks/chines bent on, the boat starts to take shape.
