It
all started with heat-guns to remove the old paint and to expose the
wood as much as possible.

Paint scraping is not much fun, but many hands helped to make light work. | ||

Unfortunately, many of the original fasteners were made of iron and were badly rusted. A Dremel Tool worked well to drill out the rust and ream out hole back to solid wood. | ||
